i) A student who has passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examination held by WBCHSE or its equivalent examination from other boards/council with at least FIVE subjects including English as Compulsory subject of 100 marks is eligible to take admission to the UG courses on the basis of merit and available vacancy.
ii) A candidate shall be allowed to take up Major/Minor in Physics if he/she has passed in Physics & Mathematics in the previous qualifying exam.
iii) A candidate shall be allowed to take up Major/Minor in Mathematics if he/she has passed in Mathematics in the previous qualifying exam. A candidate who has passed in Business Mathematics is not eligible for admission to Mathematics Major Course.
iv) A candidate shall be allowed to take up Major/Minor in Chemistry if he/she has passed in Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics in the previous qualifying exam.
v) History, Philosophy, Pol. Sc, Psychology & Sociology can be treated as related subjects for Education (Major/Minor).
