Government General Degree College, Nakashipara is presently not recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. However, the institution has already applied to the University Grants Commission (UGC) seeking recognition under these provisions. The matter is under process.
Government General Degree College, Nakashipara has received ISO 50001:2018 certification for Energy Management Systems, covering the scope of providing Bachelor Degree Programs.
Government General Degree College, Nakashipara achieved a proud milestone by receiving the Special Award for Best College under the National Service Scheme (NSS), University of Kalyani, for the academic session 2015–2016.
This prestigious recognition was conferred during the 2nd NSS Convocation held on 12th August 2016, coinciding with the celebration of International Youth Day. The N.S.S. Unit of Government General Degree College, Nakashipara has been awarded by the Muragachha Gram Panchayat for their outstanding accomplishment in the Swachchha Bharat Mission during March 2023.
