Held from 28th December 2024 to 2nd January 2025, this 30-hour course focused on practical chemistry in daily life, including food, health, environment, and technology. It aimed to inspire learners to apply chemistry innovatively and sustainably.
On 10th-11th January 2025, UG Chemistry students participated in a hands-on workshop exploring stereochemistry, isomerism, and stereochemical analysis important for pharmaceuticals and nanotechnology.
6th semester Chemistry Honours students submitted and presented their projects on 16th August 2024, showcasing their research and learning outcomes.
On 26th September 2024, Dr. Suman Sarkar, National Post Doctoral Fellow from IIT Kharagpur, delivered a well-received public lecture titled "The Cosmic Chronicle" attended by 128 students. The event enriched scientific understanding and enthusiasm within the college community.
Conducted on 20th February 2025 with resource persons from Kalyani University and Banaras Hindu University, featuring over 50 research papers and 100+ attendees discussing the balance between Bengali mother tongue and global education trends.
On 21st February 2025, the department organized a seminar and cultural program commemorating Bengali Mother Language Day with a special guest speaker Amritava Biswas, highlighting cultural heritage and language preservation.
On 2nd April 2025, students experienced the historic and cultural significance of Nabadwip, the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya Deva, enriching their educational journey through direct exposure to heritage sites.
From 5th to 13th November 2024, 100 Bengali Honours students engaged in a 30-hour practical course covering content writing, journalism, and publishing skills, supported by notable speakers from the media industry.
The Bengali department continues to innovate teaching through seminars, wall magazines, and ICT methods for linguistics and literature topics, enhancing student engagement.
Published annually to encourage creative writing, poetry, and artwork among students, enriching their literary and artistic skills.
Conducted from 14th to 26th October 2024 with 64 participants from 3rd and 5th semesters, this course enhanced research skills in social sciences with a certification upon completion.
On 28th January 2024, the 3rd semester students visited historical sites like Hazarduari Palace and Katra Mosque, gaining hands-on historical knowledge.
