Department of Education
The Department of Education of Government Degree College, Nakashipara was established in the year 2015 with the establishment of the college. In the same year of establishment this department started the admission process for both honours and general courses. In the year 2018 the first batch completed graduation from this college in education. Till now six batches of students have completed their graduation in education successfully.
Presently three efficient and dedicated faculties are imparting education to the learners through learner centric approach. Teachers of this department have lots of publications and contributions in literary works. Many books have been authored by the departmental faculty based on the new and revised curriculum of University. Teachers of this department are successful in building a cordial atmosphere and relationship between the learners, so that they can feel free to discuss any issue with the teachers without hesitation.
Most of the students of this department got first class in UG level. Many students cleared NET/SET. Few students joined the teaching profession after completion of the degree. Many other students have joined different government offices. It is also a matter of pride that some successful students are now taking classes for UG-BDP courses of NSOU in our college.
This department believes in continuous and comprehensive revaluation of learners. So frequently class tests along with scheduled internal tests are being taken to monitor achievement of the learners. To extend the library facility this department also has their departmental library, so that learners can get help from the different books. Project activities are also given to the learner to build problem solving ability among them. This department also initiates research activities to build up exploratory minds among the learner. Department also organizes educational tours for the students. Teachers of this department also extend personal guidance and career counselling facilities. Besides these many other unique and innovative ideas are on the way for future action. We believe that “a teacher is not a sage on a stage, rather he is learner by side.”

SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 34 DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes on 24X7 basis using the GSAT-15 satellite. Every day, there will be new content for at least (4) hours which would be repeated 5 more times in a day, allowing the students to choose the time of their convenience. The channels are uplinked from BISAG, Gandhinagar. The contents are provided by NPTEL, IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU, NCERT and NIOS. The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web portal.
