20 February 2025: National Level Seminar on “জ্ঞান সাধনায় মাতৃভাষাঃ অতীত, বর্তমান ও ভবিষ্যৎ” in collaboration with Govt. General Degree College Kaliganj. Over 100 participants and more than 50 research paper presentations. Distinguished speakers Dr. Sanjit Mondal and Dr. Sampan Chakraborty delivered enriching lectures.

21 February 2025: State Level Seminar and Cultural Program observing International Mother Language Day, highlighting the sacrifices of language martyrs. Renowned essayist Amritava Biswas was the chief guest.

2 April 2025: Educational excursion to Nabadwip, the historical and cultural hub, enhancing students’ understanding of Bengal’s traditions and literary heritage.

5–13 November 2024: 30-hour Add-on Course “Bengali Language and Literature: Possibility and Utility” with 100 participants. Training included content writing, journalism, proofreading, and publishing careers with inputs from industry professionals.

28 Dec 2024 – 2 Jan 2025: Value-added Course “Essence of Chemistry in Everyday Life” with modules on food, health, hygiene, environment, and advanced chemistry applications.

10–11 January 2025: Stereochemistry Workshop involving lectures, demonstrations, and problem-solving on isomerism, chirality, and related nomenclature.

Project presentations by 6th Semester Chemistry Honours students on 16 August 2024.
On 26 September 2024, Dr. Suman Sarkar from IIT Kharagpur delivered a highly acclaimed public lecture titled “The Cosmic Chronicle”. The lecture promoted astrophysical knowledge to 128 registered students and faculty, strengthening scientific culture.
The Department of Education completed a successful 10-year journey in 2024–2025, focusing on quality teaching, positive teacher-student engagement, and excellent academic results. Continuous improvement was pursued through diverse academic and extracurricular programs.
Courses Offered
The department offers a Bachelor's degree in Education with 49 seats allocated across various reservation categories to ensure inclusivity and diversity.
Student Profile
Detailed enrollment data across categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PH for all semesters highlighted a balanced and diverse student community with good representation of male and female students.
Examination Results
In the 2024-2025 academic session, 25 students appeared for the 6th Semester examination. Of these, 23 successfully passed with 22 securing more than 60% marks. The highest scorer was Ayan Garai with 81.46%. Two students did not pass due to backlog papers.
Psychological Laboratory
The department maintained a well-equipped psychological laboratory offering tools such as Emotional Intelligence Inventory, Scientific Temper Inventory, and Academic Achievement Tests. Students utilized these for research, project work, and skill development.
Wall Magazine “Shikkayan”
“Shikkayan,” the department’s annual wall magazine, showcased students’ creativity through articles, poems, and artwork, fostering a culture of expression and confidence.
Add-on Course: Methodology & Data Analysis in Social Science Research
Conducted between October 14-26, 2024, this 40-hour course trained 64 students of 3rd and 5th semesters in research methods and data analysis. Successful candidates received certification.
Educational Tour to Murshidabad
On January 28, 2024, 3rd Semester Education students visited historic Murshidabad sites, including Hazarduari Palace and Katra Mosque, enriching their practical understanding of history and cultural heritage.
