The Career Counselling Cell of Government General Degree College, Nakashipara has been established to assist students in understanding themselves and the world of work, helping them to make informed career and educational decisions. The cell enables students to realize their strengths and weaknesses by promoting self-awareness, personality development, planning skills, and decision-making abilities.

Objective: To raise awareness of various competitive exams for students’ future careers.
Outcome: A total of 93 students participated. The resource person advised on various government and non-government jobs. An MCQ test was conducted, and prizes were awarded to top performers. Due to enthusiastic response, the college and George Telegraph decided to sign an MoU for future collaboration.
Objective: To organize a career counselling session focused on opportunities in the banking sector.
Outcome: 70 students participated. The session featured a lecture on banking careers, information about Bandhan Bank courses and placements. The event greatly enhanced students’ job prospects.
Objective: To build self-awareness, confidence, and strategic approaches to successfully qualify in a competitive exam and secure one’s dream job.
Outcome: Organized by Physics Wallah—one of India’s top online and offline educational platforms—with 145 student participants. The resource person delivered an inspiring and practical session, offering multiple tips for qualifying government exams. The interactive and engaging presentation was highly appreciated by the students.
