Chief Vigilance Officer

Chief Vigilance Officer

At Government General Degree College, Nakashipara, there is no separate Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) post like in large government organizations, but the functions related to vigilance and maintaining integrity are supervised by the vigilance cell of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. However, the Officer-in-Charge ensures transparency, accountability, and adherence to ethical practices within the institution. In the college, this responsibility is exercised through vigilance measures in financial transactions, procurement processes, and administrative functioning. The Officer-in-Charge, acting as the head of the institution, monitors compliance with government regulations and ensures that all academic and administrative activities follow proper guidelines.

Supportive Committees

Additionally, the college has an Internal Complaints Committee and an Anti-Ragging Cell that work under the guidance of the head of the institution, performing vigilance-related functions in their respective domains. These bodies help maintain a safe and disciplined campus environment by addressing grievances, investigating complaints, and taking preventive measures against misconduct.

Vigilance Framework

The vigilance framework in the college emphasizes fairness, transparency, and zero tolerance toward corruption or unethical practices. By implementing these measures, the institution safeguards its credibility and ensures that both staff and students work in an environment of trust and accountability.
