Controller of Examination

At Government General Degree College, Nakashipara, there is no separate Controller of Examinations section as found in universities. Instead, the college manages its examination system through two key bodies: the Internal Examination Committee and the Examination Committees designated for different semester examinations conducted by the affiliating university, University of Kalyani.

Internal Examination Committee

The Internal Examination Committee is responsible for planning and organizing internal assessments and class tests in each semester. It ensures that continuous evaluation is carried out smoothly as per the academic calendar and university guidelines. This committee coordinates with departments to prepare schedules, frame question papers, and maintain transparency in internal evaluation.

Examination Committee

The Examination Committee supervises the conduct of university semester examinations. It ensures proper seating arrangements, invigilation duties, and adherence to all rules and regulations prescribed by the affiliating university. The committee also manages tasks like secure storage of question papers, distribution to examination halls, and timely submission of answer scripts to the university.

Role of Both Committees

Both committees play a vital role in maintaining fairness, confidentiality, and discipline during examinations. They also address students’ queries and resolve examination-related issues whenever necessary. Through the collective effort of these committees, the college ensures smooth and systematic conduct of both internal and external examinations, thereby upholding academic integrity and credibility.
