The Department of Mathematics of Muragachha Govt. College has organized a Two-Days National Seminar cum Workshop on Recent Advances in Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences: Its Teaching and Learning. The seminar was jointly organized in collaboration with Calcutta Mathematical Society and The Indian Mathematics Consortium. The entire event was sponsored by the Directorate of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. Eminent personalities like Prof.Rajkumar Roy Chowdhury, former professor, ISI, Kolkata and President of Calcutta Mathematical Society, Prof.Sanjoy Sen, Calcutta University and Secretary, Calcutta Mathematical Society were part of the advisory committee of the seminar. A special lecture was also conducted for the students of the nearby schools and they were imparted the idea of the significance of Mathematics in our daily lives.
