The dissemination of mother tongue will further the process of the promotion of multilingualism and subsequently help in the development of national heritage and culture. Being aware of such a situation, the Department of Bengali of our college exercised their will and displayed their tireless effort to celebrate the AntôrjatikMatribhashaDibôs[INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY, in short IMLD]. A seminar was organized by the department on IMLD and revolution associated with Mother Language. Professor Sohini Bhattacharya of Bethune College was the key speaker on this day. Apart from the key speaker, Dr.ParthaKarmakar, OIC of MuragachhaGovt College and Professor ChandanaChakraborty and Professor SharminRehaman of the Dept. of Bengali of our college shared their valuable notions on the issue of peace and promotion of multilingualism.
