The Youth Parliament Competition, conducted by the Department of Parliamentary Affairs, has been a regular event among the educational institutions across the country. The structure of the competition is multi-layered, with sub-events like mock-parliament, quiz competition on parliamentary matters, quiz competition on character building and extempore. This year, Muragachha Govt. College was chosen as the venue for the District Level Youth Parliament Competition, involving several colleges of Nadia. Despite the challenging circumstances, concerted effort of teaching and non-teaching staff ensured that the organization of the event was a success. Gracious presence of dignitaries like ADMG- PriyankaSangla. IAS, and others increased the grandeur of the program. Participation of teams from eleven different colleges reflected a fair degree of competitiveness. The students of Muragachha Govt. College with their diligent and active participation in the competition ensured a Third position in the Youth Parliament Competition.
